Interesting, I quite like the idea of using the benefits of blockchain like architectures on a way more lightweight foundation like git repos. This architecture uses git remotes as identities, right? Wouldn't a public-key based infrastructure allow a broader set of uses. I'm specifically thinking of sneaker-net like deployments, or maybe setup in which no reliable DNS exists.
