Polemical pug hit piece. Valve/Steam tackled the harder problem of getting the hw/sw network console business environment with the capital barely available to Gabe Newell as compared to the elephant in the room, Microsoft. The horse-trading hovering over Take-Two Interactive in connection to the successful formula at Rockstar Games speaks louder of capitalism not doing much with what it has.
By that logic it was capitalism that also made Half Life since HL2 etc.. wouldn't be possible without capitalism which funded development.
Perhaps too many suits got into high positions at Valve?
I am curious why Valve didn't splinter itself into Steam and game-dev groups?
