The piece is from 2020 with context that ex-MI6 head Richard Dearlove was doing media rounds pushing a lab origin theory, notably in the Telegraph[1], where one article states:<p>> Sir Richard [Dearlove], who was the head of MI6 between 1999 and 2004, cited startling new peer-reviewed research produced by Professor Angus Dalgleish, of St George's Hospital at the University of London, and the Norwegian virologist Birger Sorensen [...]<p>> It warns that current efforts to develop a vaccine are destined for failure because the true aetiology of the virus has been misunderstood.<p>Interesting, then, that Dearlove, Dalgleish and Sorensen should all appear as founder/shareholders of a company called Omnivaxx[2], apparently set up to market a vaccine based on the "insights" revealed in the ill-fated paper.<p>The posted article reminds us: "John Fredrik Moxnes, the chief scientific adviser to the Norwegian military, has already withdrawn his name from the paper cited by Dearlove – while scientists from the Francis Crick institute and Imperial College London also dismissed its conclusions.
