This is clearly some psyops nonsense.
First of all, the website itself is some obscure made up website (there's plenty of these ever since the days of trump election, Brexit etc.).
Secondly it's a poll from a think tank not a study really, also tenous to say it's EU funded.
Thirdly, the actual article is drivel. It has some weird opinion piece (obviously anti-west) mascarading as fact.
Terrible and dodgey overall.

This is where the absolute dominance of US / UK in the information tech and media can be a negative; it is fantastic for propagandising others but you also end up propagandising yourself

> The study suffered from bias. This slant was clear when the report misleadingly referred to the NATO-Russia proxy war in Ukraine facilely as “Putin’s war” and “Russian aggression”, as if the West did not play a fundamental role in starting the conflict in the first place by sponsoring a violent coup d’etat in Kiev in 2014, repeatedly violating promises not to expand NATO east after the 1990 reunification of Germany, sabotaging the Minsk accords and peace talks, and ignoring Moscow’s 2021 request for security guarantees.
Why is this nonsense being upvoted here?

The original report would be a much better link than this article.
But honestly, these survey results are little more than a reflection of the effectiveness of propaganda.
For example, 77% of Chinese respondents believe China is the closest to a real democracy. For comparison, the next largest country’s citizens saying that about their own country is India, with 57% believing that about India. At least India is a democracy of some form.
Next is the fact that 3/4ths of respondents in India, Türkiye and China believe Russia is as strong or stronger since the war began.
Both these points are as close to facts as you can get. There’s no way China is the closest thing to being a real democracy when it isn’t even a democracy. And there’s no way Russia is stronger since this war began in any form. Russia is poorer, lost prime population both because of people dying and injured in the war and because of emigration, has lost massive amounts of businesses, its primary export product, military arms, was just put to the test and has shown up to be barely competitive with decades older equipment from its competition, it’s lost a ton of business, it’s lost a whole bunch of gas and oil export markets that it hasn’t been able to replace, and even diplomatic relations with its closest partners in India and China have soured with the premiers of both nations publicly rebuking Putin in public forums.
If Xi Jinping or Modi decide they want to pivot away from Russia, I think it won’t take more than a couple of days for these polls to show a rapidly different picture.

Our historical enemies continue to hate us. What a surprise.

Yeah, about half of the people in the world live in oppressive dictatorships, at odds with freedom and liberalism of Europe. That's certainly a problem but not exactly Europe's problem.
