Ask HN: What do you do for sites that require SMS for 2FA?

1 pointsby pvinisabout 2 years ago
I really dislike having to use SMS 2FA. Even worse is when the country of the phone number is restricted.
Do you use any service for this? Is there one? Is this a market? Help.

looking around, seems like https://onlinesim.io/ is the one option, but a bad one, since its either for one-time use, or a very limited number of countries with $3 per day, which is a lot for long-term 2FA.

Authy and 1Password (2FA apps), and Yubikey (2FA hardware) seem to be popular choices.
