Verbling solves that.” –Brent D., user<p>-We connect language learners with native speakers around the world for verbal practice through live video.<p>-GigaOM named us one of the top 5 companies of the YC S11 batch (out of 63).<p>-We just raised capital from truly helpful VCs and angels in an oversubscribed round.<p>-Market salary, equity, health insurance, parking, equipment, relocation/housing help are a given, but more importantly, as an early hire you’ll be driving the decisions that affect the lives of users from more than 128 countries.<p>-Our office is one block away from University Avenue in Palo Alto.<p>Job Activities<p>-Design and code new user-facing features on verbling.com.<p>-Find and implement scalable solutions to backend problems.<p>-Hack on top of a fun, developer-time optimized technology stack: Node, Rails, etc.<p>Requirements<p>-Strong coding background. You're a well-rounded engineer.<p>-Previous projects (personal, academic, or corporate) that show a zest for engineering.<p>-Ability to learn and acquire new skills quickly in a self-starting, highly productive environment.<p>-You like to code.<p>jobs@verbling.com
