Wow, everyone was waiting for this to happen. Some people were speculating that they left it up as long as they did to intentionally hurt OpenAI/Microsoft. Regardless of whether that is true or not FB had to do this sooner rather than later or risk losing the ability to enforce the license in the future.<p>Honestly though it doesn't matter since the torrent will stay active for the foreseeable future.<p>I can't wait until there is a properly licensed open source / open weights GPT model so we can actually start using it commercially in ernest.
