Open chatgpt alternatives were discussed recently (link below). Consensus is they are not as good, but hopefully increased interest will change that same as happened with stable diffusion. It's unfortunate that llama got all the attention because it's not an open model, just leaked, and now it's far and away the most popular "available" model and has the most supporting applications.
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35243435
Dalle has so many alternatives like stable diffusion and mid journey
Chatgpt has limited alternatives as of now, I think Google bart is something similar but only Available in US and UK
Llama and Stable Diffusion are the most popular alternatives.
Llama is nowhere close to chatGPT but good enough for some users. Stable diffusion 2.1 is better than Dalle2. There is an experimental version of dalle only accessible to a few selected people that seem better than stable diffusion 2.1 though. MidJourney is a bit better but not Open-source and you will not be able to generate some kind of pictures. Which could be a good thing perhaps.
