I despise the recent sentiment that a war with China is imminent and unavoidable. Have we truly tried everything short of banning TikTok and preparing for an invasion of Taiwan?
The US of 2023 is NOT the US of 1942. China is today's US of 1942. They have a huge manufacturing capacity.
Without spending ten to 20 years (at least) in rebuilding America's manufacturing capacity to match China's, the US should just refuse any war with China.
Remember how Germany ended up in their 1941-1945 war with the Soviets? That will be America's future in a war with China.
https://static.life.com/wp-content/uploads/migrated/2014/10/...
Constant war mongering regarding China doesn't really help. Which countries has China attacked or invaded over the course of the last 50 years and how many the US? China is a new powerful nation.Change in "leadership" has happened over many centuries. Just get on with it
