Good. Nobody is obligated to remove that content.
Anyone who genuinely denies the negative impact of our changing climate is flat-earth/heliocentrism denial levels of stupid. That doesn't mean the content cannot exist on the platform though, even without the "pre-bunking" we've come to expect. Sometimes on the internet, people just say dumb things and it's up to us to refute them. Worse yet, in a capitalist system where we keep these content silos private, people can purchase and manipulate them however they want. One hand pulls it left, the other hand overcompensates.
I'm simply tired of this "Save the Twitter" rhetoric. It's over, nobody swooped in and Superman'ed it. Here are your options:
1. Use nothing
2. Use Twitter
3. Use another product like Twitter, take the same risk
4. Own the content you publish and consciously filter the content you consume
Good; because the Science Is Settled, and no further debate is acceptable.
The only acceptable approach to Climate Utopia is massive inflation (eg. Canada’s “Carbon Tax”), and wildly optimistic and under-delivering government subsidized energy transitions (windmills, …); no crazy citizen-led initiatives are to be tolerated.
It’s for your safety, after all…
