America’s GDP is growing, but happily the GDP for rest of the world is growing faster. This is both healthy and stabilizing.<p>The U.S. contributes about 24% of the world’s GDP. China is at about 20%. The UK has shrunk from 5.5% to 2.5%. Way, way too premature to make such a pronouncement. The dollar is still the global unit of wealth (such as Forbes 400 list, in which wealth in foreign currencies is converted to dollars for ranking purposes), and also the dollar index is is only down a little from its historic highs.
