I am still running an Intel Mac Mini from 2013 which was relatively lousy in various ways, is not getting MacOS update anymore, but it is still running strong with an Intel SSD. I just built a monster tower PC with AMD's latest but I am in no rush to replace the mac.

Apple already figured this out with iPhones.<p>I can easily see continuous hardware specializations that are tightly integrated with new OS features to stabilize Mac sales and incentivize shorter device lifecycles.
