I am doing a thorough research into M&A laws of multiple jurisdiction, which lead me to curiosity.
How much does a M&A advisory firm/ merchant bank / investment bank charge for such transactions. Its quite unclear in the internet, the claim by the articles and websites range from 0.1% - 10% ... It's really confusing.
Would appreciate some clear answers.
The reason its a range is it depends on a business & the value added by the advisory on any restructuring.
If there is a restructure into an new entity and there is assistance raising the bonds to buy out some of the stock its higher. Another example is ifs just a basic acquisition in cash without much risk its closer to the lower end.
