yeah these big trucks are everywhere. the ones with the big cabs. they are enormous. Longer than even the H2 Hummer or the Suburban, which the early 2000s were considered uncommonly big vehicles for the time. This possibly imposes many externalities: less parking space, more injuries against pedestrians or drivers, higher insurance costs, higher fuel prices, more traffic jams, pollution, road degradation due to increased mass, etc. The infrastructure can sustain some large vehicles; give everyone a large vehicle and the infrastructure cannot keep up.<p>It also shows how flush with purchasing power, specially since covid, Americans are. These trucks can easily cost more than luxury cars after including various modifications and for the largest of trucks.
