I feel like this project would be much better suited for the Dogpatch which really needs to continue building its momentum and needs all of the critical mass it can get to keep going.<p>There have been huge investments in mass transit in the Dogpatch and plenty of empty lots and minimal pre-existing NIMBY neighbors to cause a raucous.<p>Sticking towers in the outer Sunset - while it might seem fun to poke the NIMBYs - just seems inefficient as its already pretty hard to get to due to poor Muni service and its far flung location.<p>There is so much opportunity to make a transformational, generational change in essentially greenfield space over in the Dogpatch.
