I alternate input devices and positions to keep from stressing the same body parts at the same angle for too long: main desk sitting, main desk standing height, laptop while on couch, laptop while laying on stomach, or put the full PCs away and use phone or tablet for quick messages. If it hurts I stop, full stop.<p>Whenever I feel the discomfort/inflammation coming on, I change position within a minute or two. Has prevented progression for me, for at least 15 years that I've been doing it.
