Ask HN: How do you document and organize your scribbles/files?

1 pointsby blowfish721about 2 years ago
Hi everyone! I have this problem that I always end up with tabs and tabs of scribbles, copy-pastes, documentation etc in Sublime text. It starts off organized but ends up in a sort of chaos with little time to go through most of it and organize, tag and structure it. Tried different tools such as notepads (Sublime etc), OneNote and so on but it usually ends up the same in some degree. What tools are you using to make sure chaos doesn’t ensure? In a perfect world I would love a personal ChatGPT that I could feed the notes into and receive them back in an ordered, sorted and structured way but unless I can self host it I can’t trust it since notes contain budiness stuff as well.

Rewind.ai for an example of an AI solution, which seems like a nice idea.<p>Otherwise, embrace the chaos, add tags, categories, keywords, and&#x2F;or links, and use a tool that enables browsing and searching of your existing output. I have been skeptical of fancy note taking software, but currently enjoying obsidian.
