It‘s interesting to see how rapidly the world, culture and work are changing these days. What feels like yesterday, and in the last decade, the world was different, and to me felt like a world of optimism and potential.
This decade is more about leverage, influence, and perhaps scaling back some of our ambitions and perceptions of “immortality” (due to a war in Europe, etc.). Maybe it is of course because as a European citizen, the war is closer to home and I speak the languages involved in the war, maybe it is because I’m nearing my 30’s.
It’s a humbling decade along with potential for, yet again, earth shattering advances. However, we don‘t quite know how to think about or relate to these things anymore, causing some nervousness along with the rather bleak economical and demograpic prospects in our societies.
We shall see, but the grind culture definitely seems less attractive than before, that’s for sure. People are tired.
