> analyse their specific risks, and put in place mitigation measures—for instance, to address the spread of disinformation and inauthentic use of their service
Basically the EU enforces and requires what many service already do.
> Several requirements are designed to let outside auditors and researchers verify a company's compliance
"Auditors", "researchers", ...
Google is already become a propaganda platform for certain topics. Especially in context of Covid "free information" has been severely fortified. And no, it isn't the alleged misinformation of some crazy people that is prominent here. We see plain state level propaganda. This has made search extremely unrealiable. Even tangentially related topics are severely impacted by this. Even if you search for different health topics, you get some newspaper article nobody should even play with a click for. This even results in further problems, because this already does impact research and nobody will be more informed about anything.
This is policy by the children and for the children.
