Ask HN: What’s your average phone screen time (and why)?

2 pointsby anthlaxabout 2 years ago
I’ll start: I’m averaging about 4 hours a day. A decent chunk of that (perhaps 1&#x2F;4? Maybe more) in concentrated in the morning, between sets at the gym.<p>I’m seriously considering a dumb phone. I feel stupidly addicted to this thing: I’m graduating college soon, but the other day I was doing some “deep” studying, and whenever things got hard I reached for my phone and scrolled through Reddit. The high stress moments where I should be learning the most are the ones I end up replacing with phone time.

Im not sure about apple but android has a app timer that you can set for individual apps that you visit to keep you from using them for a long time. This decreases the amount of time that you spend looking&#x2F;using each app on your phone.
