I help a few poor people near my home and one of those has my Whatsapp. Yesterday she wrote around 7 or 8 lines of very "confusing to parse" pt-br and ChatGPT perfectly "understood" and rewrote it in discursive form.<p>Then I had this insight that AI like this could "empower" a few billion people just because of this "infinite patience" to communicate with people that are semi-illiterate or learning to write. I wish these tools get to them quickly.<p>(In my specific case, Whatsapp would have to run this rewrite before sending the message, and suggest the rewrite to her. This would teach her and at the same time put her on a more level playing field to get a job etc. And she won't install an app and do this. It will only "work" if integrated and automatic)

I find the answers to be better for most queries now.

Correct the spelling and grammar mistakes and explain the corrections."<p>I feel a lot more confident writing in German when someone is highlighting my mistakes before the message gets sent.<p>I also ask it more and more questions that would have been a Google search plus a few minutes of reading the first results. ChatGPT gives me a straight answer in a few seconds. This is good for quick definitions, code samples etc.
I write an email with my poor language skills, bad grammer and autism and paste it into the text box and prompt chatgpt to "rewrite this message in a concise and friendly manner: <email>"
