Content Shaping

I wonder, do people realize that this technology renders the whole 'content moderation' debate as completely moot? If all content can be altered, easily, there's no one to moderate. You can't block an app on everyone's phone that shifts the tone or voice or lens of anything that is consumed online. People will sign up for the lens that they want. A very few will want the raw, unfiltered data version--people with a propensity for raw data, or who need to do research--the type of people who collect hand-recorded bootlegs of live concerts. There will be a branch of history devoted to verification of what really happened, but it will be esoteric. "Reality" as something that is legible on the internet is dead.
