Very ironic to borrow the "Open[insert the name of technology here]" naming convention while trying to trademark the "GPT" acronym.

I think they&#x27;re unlikely to get it approved: <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.lexology.com&#x2F;library&#x2F;detail.aspx?g=763049f7-7ef8-4a68-bdb1-2e4fa194b7ad" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.lexology.com&#x2F;library&#x2F;detail.aspx?g=763049f7-7ef8...</a>

They&#x27;re already sending out letters to prevent people from using &quot;GPT&quot;. For example:<p><a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.reddit.com&#x2F;r&#x2F;AIAssisted&#x2F;comments&#x2F;139rnnx&#x2F;do_not_register_domains_with_the_word_gpt_in_it&#x2F;" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.reddit.com&#x2F;r&#x2F;AIAssisted&#x2F;comments&#x2F;139rnnx&#x2F;do_not_...</a>
