Touring “Good Old-Fashioned Artificial Intelligence”

1 pointsby rbcabout 2 years ago
I've been incrementally studying Lisp programming using "Common LISP: A Gentle Introduction to Symbolic Computation" by David Touretzky (the 2013 edition). After working through the first six chapters, I feel ready to take a steeper road to Lisp and GOFAI. I had originally planned to use the Norvig PAIP book. After taking a look at Lisp: 3rd edition by Patrick Winston, I'm kind of conflicted on which which book to use as a primary text. Both seem to start with Lisp and follow that with implementations of classic AI applications. Cost isn't really a factor, because I already own both books. Any suggestions?
