For the last time, "Patient Zero" isn't a thing. There was Patient O, misinterpreted as Patient 0 in the search for the index case of HIV in the US. Never mind that we now know that wasn't the index case, the fact remains that "Patient Zero" is one specific man, whereas the alleged origin case of a novel disease is the "index patient."
