In the past few weeks I've started getting randomly logged out on both my iPhone X (safari) and Macbook (firefox+ublock). Tech support appears to be giving me the run-around (reset your password, "send a picture of the issue") and has repeatedly suggested that I just install the app.<p>I've become increasingly disappointed with the Economist digital services - I intend for it to be a calm, insightful news source, but instead it serves me flashing ads, has started pushing video and audio content, and every so often I have to re-confirm that I don't want it to sell my personal information. I just had to go through a multi-page user retention maze to unsubscribe. These are bizarre moves for a subscriber-based business that relies on trust.
