Those who faced similar issues in the job market of the early 00s and later on 08s, how did you kick off your career as CS graduate?
Currently, most of the jobs I am looking for have "3+ years of experience", which is just not possible for a new graduate. Does that mean I don't work anymore, or what?
You got to do the sideways hustle into the job you want. Pick a company where you want to work in the tech area. Get a job anywhere you can in that company and then work your way towards the tech team there. You will need to get to know people there and what they need so you can prepare yourself to work there.
Another thing, go to job interviews. Even if your skills don't fit. You need to get used to the process. Getting a job in your chosen field is not always easy.
"All I have is AI/ML experience" - I would say there is no better time in the job market for that kind of experience.
I would look for junior roles, but if there is an offer that sounds interesting, just give it a go. I have learnt that these requirements are often not that strict and once you can talk to the people, they do not matter at all.
As far as job titles go, you can search for data scientist roles.
