1Password recently added telemetry to their software [0], but basic features have been breaking and broken for years. Given that leaders and developers thought adding telemetry of any kind into a secret-keeper was a good idea, I have become curious exactly what business they're in. They haven't been a good password manager for many years now, especially on infinite subscription.
[0] June 21, 2023: https://blog.1password.com/telemetry-system-roll-out/
Ever since 1Password released version 8, the whole application seems to have become a dumpster fire. Apart from it frequently crashing, this issue is so stupid it's hard to believe: 1Password disregards any system settings for dates and shows them in MM/DD/YYYY formats – even on machines with DD/MM/YYYY setup. This used to work, so is an easy thing to miss – yet even after countless reports and an email conversation, 1Password keep ignoring it. Personally, I had to chase an airline for weeks because I entered the passport dates in the wrong order.
