I see a lot of links to Twitter (here and elsewhere). I don't want to log in or use the app, I just occasionally want to see what people are saying when a tweet gets upvoted here on HN, or when I think "I wonder what XYZ is saying, I'll click the Twitter link on the place I usually interact with them."<p>Since I've been stopped by a login link I've mostly stopped going to Twitter at all.

The last few times I've tried to view Twitter links from here, it's been broken... Even from a usability standpoint, I can see why.

Can the drop in traffic be attributed to all the AI bot scrapers they were trying to kick off the platform in the first place?

Twitter will be fine. The only people going to threads are virtue-signaling losers that won't be missed anyway.
