This makes sense to an MBA. ChatGPT lacks knowledge of current events. The AP has that knowledge. This seems like a way to add knowledge of current events to ChatGPT.<p>Referencing AP News stories can reduce the credibility of hallucinations because anyone doing their research would see (for example,) that there were AP News stories about 2 guys with similar names, and that ChatGPT got them confused. This helps with defamation lawsuits.<p>I&#x27;m not sure that the OpenAI team will make this work, but in theory, to an MBA, it does make sense.
