Ask HN: Where do you go for questions about company reviews and culture?

1 pointsby digitalsanctumalmost 2 years ago
From the perspective of a job seeker how do you answer questions about a company? I use LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor to read reviews. Are there others?

The best way is to talk to several people who work there in an area you're interested in (the larger the company, the larger the variation in culture).
Another great way is to interview. Ideally, you're interviewing the company as much as they're interviewing you - interviewers usually give you time to ask them questions so you've got a great opportunity.

I don't use any of those kinds of sources, because I've found them to be too unreliable for my taste.
Instead, I find people who work at the company, or who recently worked at the company, and talk with them about their experience there.
