The American people have the truth: there aren't any aliens. Occasionally there are lights in the sky that we can't figure out, but there's zero reason to think that it's aliens and a million more likely explanations.<p>That's the truth. Some Americans don't want it to be the truth, but that's not the same thing. They can examine every file in every agency and they won't get a different answer, or change their insistence that something is being hidden from them.
Amazing how many people insist that there can't be any evidence, the evidence presented can't be real, etc etc.<p>There's a notion under all this that "Someone" has been preparing the world for the revelation of Intelligent Non-humans for a century or so. The "Humanity wasn't ready" reading. It's hard to argue against that one sometimes, when seeing how tightly people cling to the notion of human uniqueness.
If they're going to report on this then I sure hope the media demands more than third hand personal testimony. If there's anything real here then it has to be global and we have no indication that people all over the world have seen anything similar.
