I want to be able to use my raspberry pi to access my media drives from in and out the house, hopefully have some other tools like network monitoring and photo galleries and iOS integration.
I liked how umbrel setup, but I am wondering if there is something less crypto focused? Umbrel used tailscale to connect which is I am fine with. Thanks.
I got these from here: https://github.com/AwesomeDog/awesome-nas
https://hub.docker.com/r/photoprism/photoprism
https://hub.docker.com/r/viktorstrate/photoview
Curious what aspects of Umbrel do you find not satisfactory? I know you said you'd like to see something less crypto focused. Is it the selection of crypto-oriented apps in the app store that you don't like to see? (And I totally get if that's the case, just trying to understand.)
I recently found out about Immich and it’s been amazing. It even syncs from my iPhone. Very happy.
https://immich.app/
