Just noticed the message on the footer of https://waybackhn.com , I don't know when it appeared, but it seems like the creator, John, is looking for someone to take over the site.

How is the website different from the date selection on <a href="https://news.ycombinator.com/front?day=2023-07-04">https://news.ycombinator.com/front?day=2023-07-04</a> ? Was it created before HN added the feature?
