Pretty sure I first heard about this film on HN many years ago. Finally got round to watching it when the whole thing appeared on my feed this evening. Dropping the link here to pay forward the serendipity and synchronicity.
It takes good writing pull off a movie driven entirely by dialog. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_from_Earth" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_from_Earth</a> is another.
I thought the discussion of Findhorn Foundation and "pockets of light" like monks in the "dark ages" was pretty interesting. There are current organizations dedicated to such long term thinking such as seed banks and the Long Now Foundation. The current Findhore seems to have gotten away from it's mission as described in MDWA
Loved this film for ages. First the Wally character, then decades later the Andre character. Film-wise it also took me ages to realize how carefully crafted it was; it comes off as casual at first but step through a few scenes frame-by-frame and you realize the depth.
