Sometimes my bank gives me extra money too -- then they charge me $35 per incident for the privilege.
I mean, hopefully the bank has audit trails that will accurately trace how much money is flowing out, despite the bugs or whatever they are. And then they can reconstruct transactions later, and just put everyone in an overdrawn status for however many Euros they took out.
Now that the Gardaí are involved, I wonder whether people will face legal troubles for defrauding ATMs and such. I certainly wouldn't want to be someone guessing how much was in my account today.
"Bank Error in Your Favour! Collect $500!"
