Anything where public policy is so in the dark should maybe just be banned. We can&#x27;t really do studies &amp; understand how various driverless cars work, how safe they are. We just take these companies at their word. We don&#x27;t have the data, don&#x27;t see the systems. There&#x27;s no basis for fair or safe regulation here.<p>Cyclists especially are at huge risk here, are the in-between range where auto omous vehicles will not cope well &amp; will do bad things. The people making the decisions about what to allow have no real ability to judge how bad the problem is. It&#x27;s all black boxes, controlled IP, that owes nothing to the world &amp; share none of itself.<p>With this corporate controlled world, it&#x27;s impossible to vouch for the safety of these things.
