I celebrated 3 years of WFH and I couldn't be happier with it.
However, WFH is not a one-size-fits-all for me.
The worst of WFH is how the employer makes out like a bandit, in terms of physical plant, upkeep, utilities, overhead. Pair this with the fact that infrastructure at home is always consumer-grade rather than enterprise-grade, and you've got a recipe for degraded productivity and degraded actual wages.
Not to mention that many consumer ISPs' TOS prohibit commercial activity, and so if they decide to enforce that, masses of people might be forced to seek business-class Internet, RTO, or simply be disconnected and fired.
