It's on the back of the post "Tell us about your project that's not done yet.."
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37156101<p>It made me happy and hopeful about those sometimes wacky projects, and peoples support. We want it, we can do it!
So don't be afraid of corpos stealing your ideas ;)
I'll start. I was trying to search for an particular artist (painter), I saw the art quite vividly in my head (but no name, no particular title). Adding more adjectives to the search engines actually made it worse. But with proper search by date, colors etc. I believe I would narrow it down. Haven't found the app to do it - artsandculture.google.com is awesome but you can only filter by one parameter as far as Im aware. Maybe I didn't try hard enough
Last night, I had a crazy idea: What if I ported Fedora to the Wii? People ported Debian, Arch Linux, and Gentoo Linux to the Wii, why not Fedora? I named the project Fedorii, and planned to be based on Fedora 17, because 32 bit PowerPC support, and sort-of recent, despite being 21 releases away from 38, and released in 2012 - just a hair over a decade. Recent enough for a 17-year-old console. I'm currently gathering materials for the project: Wii-Linux kernel[1], Fedora 17 source code, and reading up on the Wii's internals[2][3].<p>[1]: <a href="https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii-Linux" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii-Linux</a><p>[2]: <a href="https://electronics.howstuffworks.com/wii.htm" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://electronics.howstuffworks.com/wii.htm</a><p>[3]: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_(processor)" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_(processor)</a>
