Ask HN: Twitter vs. Mastodon for tech (particularly AI) content?

I know it sounds kinda vague, but by "content" I mean relevant news and discussion of technical stuff.
Between Twitter and Mastodon, which do you find better for that kind of thing, and why?

Hard to say. My experience is that I tend to get more engagement (and more of a discussion) about topics I post on Mastodon, but Twitter/X has more people to follow/content being posted.
So if you want to chat about tech related topics, you're probably better off on Mastodon. If you want to follow others talking about them, Mastodon is still good, but Twitter arguably has more to see there.
