There are a bunch of magazines with the title "xxxxxInsider". In my experience, you should take their opinion pieces with a large grain of salt.<p>Personally, I just reverse the titles' meanings and I find the "information" they are trying to sell me is more accurate that way.<p>In this case: <i>China may now never take the US's crown as the world's largest economy</i> is the title. And in the first few sentences we see <i>Forecasters expect its GDP to briefly pass the US's in the mid-2040s</i><p>What part of 'NEVER' don't the people at BusinessInsider understand?<p>Anyway, under PPP the more accurate way of comparing economies, China's economy passed the US's about ten years ago, back around 2014.
