I agree with the sentiment of the author, I mean, one of my coworkers has a curved hyper-widescreen monitor where it would be ridiculous to use the whole space, but the headline of this blog is<p><pre><code> Please, don’t stretch your text across the

(really wrapped like that) and that is excessive in the opposite direction. It reminds me of my first computer, a TRS-80 color computer, where you had just 32 characters across. There are so many web sites where it seems that whitespace is the first, second, third and fourth design priorities and content seems to be beside the point. There's got to be a happy medium.
