Book released today and I got it on Audible. Offers some very interesting perspectives from both the founder and investor side of VC. I recommend checking it out if you want some tips on doing pitches, understanding leverage, understanding the relationship, term sheets and more.
Liz was the founder of strongDM and was ousted by the investors right after raising a series B. They believed they needed a different CEO to take the company from Series B to IPO, so they got a majority and ousted her. I was an employee during this time and it was a surreal experience because I didn’t think something like this could even happen. Liz brings that pain into her story but has dialed down the vitriol (her words) during editing.
So far the book has been an insight into the world of VC that I never would have been privy.
