Ask HN: What is the cheapest toolstack you can use for a bootstrapped startup?

1 pointsby gyumjibashyanover 1 year ago
My question is about how to minimize the costs aggressively, until you close a deal or validate the idea. Before that, ideally I only want to spend my own time but no (or very little) money.
So here is what I found so far - Domain from namecheap.com - Business email from Zoho Mail which is free up to 5 accounts - SSL from Let's Encrypt - Landing page from Wix (if you do not upgrade immediately, they give you 50% off after a day or two)
I am wondering if there is a way to minimize the spend on AWS, OpenAI and other stuff.
Please share your ideas. Thanks

I use a shared hosting and basic php for validating etc. you can create a decent bootstrap html website. for the first year it's $35 or something for "unlimited" websites. Are the good skills for a corp job no, but it allows you to test out a couple different ideas.
Here's an example of what I built: aiwebresearcer.com
It's not the prettiest but if your validating an idea the design won't matter much and nether will the latest framework. the exception is if your product is for developers then they will probably compare your site to the largest tech companies and good luck with that.
