How to recover (digitally) when you are out of prison?

6 pointsby pacman2over 1 year ago
This is not a joke. I have been in prison abroad for nearly two years. A total nightmare. I have nearly lost everything. Not made CC payments in 2 years etc. The US embassy was of little help, mainly because I am a dual citizen. Be assured that this is something that will change very soon. Some things would count as torture that I experienced in this prison (I was 5 month without any contact to my public defender, he never picked up his phone. I wanted to call the US embassy but was denied, finally they declared me crazy for claiming to be a US citizen and I was put in solitary confinement in a cell that was video monitored 24/7. All this is over now. I was released unexpected yesterday. Now I try to heal and recover.
A friend of mine was able, to at least some extent, to pay for some of my domains. While my main email seems lost (he forgot to pay for email hosting), my main email/domain address seems to be saved. Just have to set up some email hosting for this domain.
0. Main email at my own domain. All emails probably lost, but domain still active. Have to buy email hosting. No working CC left but I figure it out.
1. Facebook. May get back in again. They offer a ID upload option to get back. Thanks god.
2. Gmail. Big issue. I have my computer back and hoped to be able to just log-in based on cockie settings. But this does not work. The account is linked to my google project fi phone. The service is of cause out of service now. I probably lost my very valuable phone number. The phone itself, I kid you not, broke 10 days before I got arrested. It was shipped back to me repaired but I don't have it in my hands yet and I vaguely remember they always do a factory reset.
My Project fi phone probably expired. I feel lost. Any ideas?
