I feel I’m in a pretty small minority but I thought I’d ask the HN community to see if there’s traction.
Are there any job sites that are for non-remote jobs? I’m a pretty senior software engineer but I’m tired of working at a big tech company and want to influence more at a startup, but I also enjoy the camaraderie and collaboration of a small team working in a room or a section of a floor solving problems on a whiteboard ad-hoc. Any way for me to find these kinds of startups? I feel like most startups are remote fully or across time zones and I’m really turned off by that experience.
I built a site for that recently. Simple job scraper, and there is a Remote filter. Here is the link to the current search results:
https://gettjalerts.com/jobs/?description=&locations=&is_rem...
Yes
https://www.ycombinator.com/jobs/role
Large portion of the startups listed here and on other job boards are not remote. If they don’t list any remote roles but do list a city then they’re generally (but not always) fully in person.
A year ago it was tough to find fully in person companies, but now a large portion have moved back to in person.
