If you were to ask me to speculate... I'd suggest this may have something to do with impeding botting (possibly slowing down the massreporting/massflagging of twit/fb/ig pages)<p>There did used to be users on twitter who'd regularly 'call out' (yes, those types of people) a FB page or IG and it would go down within minutes from what was obviously a ridiculously sized bot attack.<p>One of the most prolific offenders vanished within minutes after the platform buyout, which was splendid to see.
