Ask HN: Can I use SEO with online/AI tools instead of WordPress plugins?

1 pointsby amtsover 1 year ago
In the follow-up to my previous post [1], if I may need to create some SEO optimized texts for a website of a small translation agency, can I do it semi-manually using e.g.[2], other similar online tools coupled with ChatGPT/Bing prompt engineering instead of installing Wordpress SEO plugins?
If I'd be using Wordpress, I'd like to try to use as few plugins as possible, but in its general description (marketing) Wordpress seems to try to optimize for SEO by default. As Django/Flask may not be as SEO friendly as Wordpress, I can just perform SEO optimization with the above-mentioned tools.
As I understand SEO (beginner level), I may also need to SEO optimize the names of tabs and images. If I do all this manually or with above-mentioned tools, would it be comparable to what Wordpress SEO plugins are actually doing?
[1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37537417 [2] ahrefs.com/keyword-generator

Using the right words is only half the battle. The advantage of SEO WordPress plug-ins is they serve the words in meta-tags that are read by social networks when your post is shared and when search engines like Google return your post in search results.
