Obviously this would not solve detection of AI generated content, but for courtesy sake it may be a good idea to have a consistent way to mark a content as AI generated so that AI learning web scrapers do not end up rescraping AI content. Plus let's users know to not be too harsh in judging a content.
At least it could be used to make obvious to humans what is and what is not genuine.<p>Regulation is the only way to make it happen outside of a few well-meaning actors.<p>To be wholly relevant, it would also require all/most publishers to follow the practice, and the problem is that those that will abuse AI generators for their own benefit do not have any interest in doing so.<p>That’s how they do it with ads already.
