I’ve multiple times across the past 1-2 years tried to delete posts and content on my timeline and elsewhere across my Facebook profile, and I feel like it throttles content deletion after 2-3 posts successfully deleted. Is FB that desperate with doing anything it takes to avoid losing users or users deleting content? Anyone else have noticed this?
In the year 2021, there was a browser extension called "unfollow everything" that was said to be a tool that Facebook users could use to empty their timeline.
Facebook permanently banned the creator and Facebook's lawyers demanded that he take it down and not make any tools for Facebook users ever again.
That gave the impression that they really don't like people clearing their timeline.
(I don't know if the extension still works, you can find a copy if you look through the past discussion on hnn.)
